Hablo Español - Growing up in Puerto Rico, I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career that would help people. When it came time for college, I was determined to study something medical related and earned my degree in biology. Who knew I would end up in Real Estate Sales?
Jogging my memory, I now recall the time when I had helped friends buy their home in Puerto Rico. It was something I was able to do without thought or effort. Connecting sellers with buyers came naturally to me. Creating plans of action for both parties while explaining everything in simple terms felt effortless. I never thought about it as a career path, though..
It was the day after I graduated college, and I had just married my high school sweetheart. We were both so full of dreams and aspirations! We wanted to make it big in our careers, live a long life together, and have a beautiful house!
Little did we know that those plans would soon be put on hold. You see, we lived on an island in the caribbean. It was a place that often felt too small for us as ambitious young adults.
We both wanted more from life than what our little island could offer us. More career opportunities and more cultural experiences. So,shortly after tying the knot, we made an impulsive decision to move away from our beloved home and start fresh elsewhere in America. It wasn't easy saying goodbye to all of our friends and family who had been there since childhood. But, deep down inside, we knew this was something that needed to be done if either one of us ever hoped to fulfill our dreams...
So off we went into the unknown! Two newlyweds with nothing but hope in their hearts as they set out for new horizons!
Our lifes changed drastically when I joined the US Navy. It wasn’t something that had been part of my plans.. We moved to Jacksonville, Florida as my first duty station. Life has a way of surprising us with unexpected curveballs, doesn't it?
Years later, we decided to purchase our first single family home in Jacksonville and sought the help of our friend who was a Realtor. Her husband had also happened to be our son Ryan's baseball coach, which is how we became friends with her. During the process of buying our house, an idea suddenly popped into my head. Why not become a real estate agent myself? After all, I had already helped match several families back in Puerto Rico with sellers. IfI could do this professionally, while still having flexibility for attending Ryan’s sports practices and games, then it seemed like a perfect fit for me!
I had already obtained my master’s degree in marketing from University. Plus, I had previous experience working as a sales executive, so becoming a real estate broker seemed like the logical choice. Thankfully, our friend agreed to take me on as her apprentice. She mentored me through the entire process until I eventually earned my broker license.
It had been 24 years since I married my husband and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. We have two children together and over the last 20 years, we've built a comfortable life together. Over the course of those two decades, I had also found a way to make an even bigger impact on people's lives. Helping people achieve their dreams by upsizing into better homes after years of hard work and sacrifice has become my purpose.
I take great pride in being knowledgeable on both current market trends as well as marketing trends. I also love embracing technological advances that aided me in selling properties for clients quickly and efficiently.
It warms my heart to guide my clients towards prosperity. It's not just about closing deals; it's about creating positive changes in people's lives. This is something that resonates deeply with me. My commitment to putting my client’s needs first has paid off tenfold in referrals and repeat customers; they know that they can trust me to do right by them every time.
Every day is a new opportunity for me to continue making this difference in other people's lives - one successful real estate transaction at a time!
